What is the NDIS?
The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disabilities to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

How does the NDIS work?

If you are eligible for NDIS support and have received an ‘access decision’ letter, you can create an NDIS plan that suits your needs and take it to a suitable NDIS provider to see that your needs are met.

How do I manage my NDIS plan and budget?
There are different ways you can manage your NDIS plan. For example, you might self-manage some parts of your plan while allowing the NDIA to look after other parts.
The three options are:

- Plan management by a specialist
- Self-management
What happens if I'm not happy with my service provider?
Yes, if you are not happy with the disability service provider, you can change to make sure you are getting the support you need.
